Botanical Garden
The University Botanical Garden in Balchik was established in 1955 and covers an area of 194 decares, part of which is a protected area.
It is located in the park of “The Palace” complex and is famous for its terraced gardens and rich collection of cacti and succulents. The garden is one of the 100 National Tourist Sites.
“The Palace” Architectural Complex
“The Palace” Architectural and Park Complex in Balchik is the former summer residence of Queen Maria of Romania. Located between the rocks and the sea, it impresses with its unique architecture, terraces, waterfalls, and variety of styles. Created in 1924 by Italian architects, today the complex is one of the most significant landmarks on the Northern Black Sea coast and is part of the 100 National Tourist Sites.
Bolata Bay
Bolata Beach is a small but extremely beautiful bay north of Cape Kaliakra, near the village of Balgarevo and the town of Kavarna. It is the only natural sandy beach in the area and has been a member of the “Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World” since 2013.
With clean sand, clear water, and a shallow shore, Bolata is perfect for families with kids and people who love sea adventures.
